Ingredients

  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons Cream cheese
  • 1.5 cups Almond flour
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Xanthan gum
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tablespoon Butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Coarse sea salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder (optional)
  • 0.5 teaspoon Onion powder (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella cheese and cream cheese. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir and microwave for another 30 seconds until the cheese is completely melted and smooth.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, mix almond flour, baking powder, xanthan gum, garlic powder, and onion powder (if using).

Step 4

Add the dry ingredients to the melted cheese mixture. Add the egg and knead the dough until smooth and well combined. You may find it easier to use your hands for this step.

Divide the dough into 8 equal portions. Roll each portion into a long rope, about 12 inches long.
