Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese, sliced
  • 4 slices Bacon
  • 4 leaves Large lettuce leaves
  • 4 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 1 medium Tomato, sliced
  • 0.5 medium Red onion, sliced

Directions

Step 1

Preheat a grill or stovetop frying pan over medium-high heat.

Step 2

In a medium-sized bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix well with your hands until fully combined.

Step 3

Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 1 inch thick.

Step 4

Place the bacon slices in a separate large skillet over medium heat. Cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway through. Remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

Step 5

Place the beef patties on the preheated grill or pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they reach your desired doneness.

Step 6

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty. Cover the grill or pan with a lid to melt the cheese, about 1 minute.

Step 7

Remove the patties from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.

Step 8

Assemble the burgers by placing a mound of mayonnaise on each lettuce leaf, followed by a patty, bacon slice, tomato slice, and red onion slice.

Step 9

Wrap the lettuce around the burger and serve immediately.
