Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese slices
  • 4 slices Bacon slices
  • 4 leaves Lettuce leaves
  • 1 medium Tomato
  • 8 slices Pickle slices
  • 0.25 cup Mayonnaise
  • 0.25 cup Mustard

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix the ingredients gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix to ensure the patties remain tender.

Step 2

Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty about 3/4-inch thick.

Step 3

Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add the bacon slices and cook until crispy, approximately 4 to 5 minutes per side. Remove the bacon and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate.

Step 4

In the same skillet or pan, cook the beef patties for about 4 to 5 minutes on the first side without moving them to achieve a good sear.

Step 5

Flip the patties and place one slice of cheddar cheese on each. Cover the skillet with a lid or a piece of aluminum foil to ensure the cheese melts completely. Cook for an additional 3 to 4 minutes, depending on the desired doneness.

Step 6

While the patties are cooking, slice the tomato into 1/4-inch thick slices.

Step 7

Remove the cooked beef patties and let them rest for a minute.

Step 8

Assemble each burger by spreading a tablespoon of mayonnaise on a lettuce leaf, followed by a teaspoon of mustard.

Step 9

Place the beef patty on top of the dressed lettuce leaf, add a piece of bacon, a slice of tomato, 2 pickle slices, and cover with another lettuce leaf.

Step 10

Serve the keto bacon and cheese burgers immediately with your choice of keto-friendly side dishes.
