In a large, heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, heavy cream, and light corn syrup. Stir gently to moisten the sugar evenly.
Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally to prevent scorching.

Roll the candy into thin logs, about 1/2 inch in diameter. Use kitchen scissors or a sharp knife to cut the logs into 1-inch pieces.
Lay the candy pieces out on wax paper to cool and harden completely. Store in an airtight container at room temperature to preserve freshness.
