Ingredients

  • 200 grams Broccoli
  • 1 medium Carrot
  • 1 medium Red bell pepper
  • 100 grams Baby corn
  • 100 grams Snow peas
  • 3 minced Garlic cloves
  • 2 teaspoons Fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Cold water

Directions

Step 1

Wash and prepare the vegetables. Cut the broccoli into small florets, slice the carrot into thin rounds, dice the red bell pepper, and halve the baby corn lengthwise.

Step 2

In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold water to create a slurry. Set aside.

Step 3

Heat a wok or large frying pan over high heat until very hot. Add the vegetable oil and swirl it around.

Step 4

Add the minced garlic and ginger to the hot oil. Stir-fry for 30 seconds, or until fragrant.

Step 5

Add the broccoli, carrot, red bell pepper, baby corn, and snow peas to the wok. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, keeping the vegetables moving constantly.

Step 6

Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce. Stir to combine and evenly coat the vegetables.

Step 7

Drizzle the cornstarch slurry into the wok, stirring continuously to thicken the sauce slightly.

Step 8

Finish with sesame oil for a rich, nutty aroma, and stir one final time.

Step 9

Serve hot as a side dish or over steamed rice for a light, satisfying meal.
