Ingredients

  • 2 slices Ciabatta bread
  • 3 ounces Brie cheese
  • 2 slices Prosciutto
  • 2 tablespoons Fig jam
  • 0.5 cups Arugula
  • 1 tablespoon Butter

Directions

Step 1

Preheat a panini press or a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

Step 2

Spread 1 tablespoon of butter evenly on one side of each slice of ciabatta bread.

Step 3

On the non-buttered side of one slice, spread 2 tablespoons of fig jam evenly.

Step 4

Top the fig jam with 3 ounces of brie cheese, cut into thin slices to ensure even melting.

Step 5

Layer 2 slices of prosciutto over the brie cheese.

Step 6

Add 1/2 cup of arugula on top of the prosciutto.

Step 7

Place the second slice of ciabatta bread on top, buttered side facing outward.

If using a panini press, place the sandwich in the press and cook for 3-4 minutes until the bread is golden and the brie is melted. If using a skillet, place the sandwich in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on one side. Flip carefully and cook for another 2-3 minutes on the other side, pressing gently with a spatula.

Remove the panini from the heat and let it rest for 1 minute before slicing in half.
