Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground pork
  • 3 stalks Green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger, freshly grated
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1 cup Shredded Napa cabbage
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 40 pieces Round dumpling wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 0.5 cup Water

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, shredded Napa cabbage, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

Step 2

Lay one dumpling wrapper on a flat surface and place about 1 teaspoon of the filling in the center of the wrapper.

Step 3

Lightly wet the edges of the wrapper with water using your fingertip, then fold the wrapper in half over the filling to form a half-moon shape. Press the edges together to seal, pleating the edges if desired. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

Step 4

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Arrange the pot stickers in a single layer, flat side down, in the skillet. Cook until the bottoms are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 5

Carefully add 1/4 cup of water to the skillet and quickly cover with a lid. Allow the pot stickers to steam for 4-5 minutes or until the water has evaporated and the wrappers are tender.

Step 6

Remove the lid and cook for another 1 minute to re-crisp the bottoms. Transfer cooked pot stickers to a plate and keep warm.

Step 7

Repeat the cooking process with the remaining pot stickers, using the second tablespoon of vegetable oil and the remaining water.

Step 8

Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as a mixture of soy sauce, rice vinegar, and a touch of chili oil or sesame seeds.
