Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Tilapia fillets
  • 0.25 cup Fresh orange juice
  • 3 tablespoons Low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 stalks Green onions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

In a medium bowl, whisk together the orange juice, soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sesame oil to make the marinade.

Step 2

Season both sides of the tilapia fillets with salt and black pepper.

Step 3

Place the tilapia fillets in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them. Make sure the fish is well-coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.

Step 4

Heat olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 5

Remove the tilapia fillets from the marinade, letting any excess drip off, and reserve the marinade for later use.

Step 6

Place the fillets in the hot skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish is golden and flakes easily with a fork.

Step 7

While the fish is cooking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly.

Step 8

Serve the tilapia fillets drizzled with the reduced marinade. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Step 9

Pair with steamed rice or sautéed vegetables for a complete meal. Enjoy!
