Ingredients

  • 400 grams edamame (in pods, fresh or frozen)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1.5 tablespoons sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 0.5 teaspoons red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 1 stalk green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Bring a pot of water to a boil and add a generous pinch of salt.

Step 2

Add the edamame pods to the boiling water and cook for 4-5 minutes (or as per package instructions, if using frozen edamame).

Step 3

Drain the edamame and set aside.

Step 4

In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium heat.

Step 5

Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Step 6

Stir in the soy sauce, sriracha, honey, and red pepper flakes (if using), and cook for 1 minute until the sauce begins to bubble and thicken slightly.

Step 7

Add the cooked edamame pods to the skillet and toss well to coat the pods evenly in the sauce.

Step 8

Cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, so the flavors meld together.

Step 9

Transfer the spicy dynamite edamame to a serving bowl and sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish.

Step 10

Serve warm and enjoy!
