  • 1 cup Frozen peas
  • 4 medium Potatoes
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 2 teaspoons (divided) Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 0.25 teaspoon (optional) Cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons (chopped, optional) Fresh cilantro

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Peel and dice the potatoes into large chunks. Boil them in a pot of salted water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain, mash with butter and milk, and season with 1 teaspoon of salt. Set aside.
