Ingredients

  • 500 grams salmon fillet
  • 200 grams cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 2 tablespoons dill, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chives, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 loaf/package baguette or crackers (optional, for serving)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Step 2

Place the salmon fillet on the prepared tray. Drizzle it with olive oil and sprinkle with half of the salt and pepper.

Step 3

Bake the salmon for 10-12 minutes, or until it is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Let it cool completely.

Step 4

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, lemon juice, dill, chives, minced garlic, and the remaining salt and pepper.

Step 5

Flake the cooled salmon into small pieces using a fork, discarding any skin and bones.

Step 6

Add the flaked salmon to the cream cheese mixture and gently fold until evenly combined.

Step 7

Transfer the mixture to a serving dish or small bowl. For added presentation, you can garnish with a sprinkle of chopped chives or dill.

Step 8

Serve immediately with sliced baguette or crackers, or cover and refrigerate for up to 2 days.
