  • 500 grams Kataifi dough
  • 200 grams Unsalted butter
  • 250 grams Walnuts
  • 100 grams Almonds
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
  • 500 grams Granulated sugar
  • 300 ml Water
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 2 pieces Clove

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

Begin by making the syrup. In a saucepan, combine the sugar, water, lemon juice, honey, and cloves. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Once thickened, remove from heat and allow it to cool completely.

In a food processor, coarsely chop the walnuts and almonds. Combine them in a bowl with the cinnamon powder, mixing well.

Melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Carefully pull apart the Kataifi dough strands with your hands to loosen them.

Take a small portion of the shredded dough, about the size of an egg, and place a tablespoon of the nut mixture at one end.
