Ingredients

  • 500 grams Beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 4 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 1 medium Onion, sliced
  • 2 medium Bell peppers, sliced (any color)
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 stalks Scallions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, mix soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and cornstarch. Add the sliced beef to the mixture, ensuring every piece is well coated. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.

Step 2

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef in small batches, cooking for 2-3 minutes per batch until browned. Remove the cooked beef and set aside.

Step 3

Add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil to the skillet. Toss in the sliced onion and bell peppers. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften.

Step 4

Return the beef to the skillet along with the vegetables. Pour in the beef broth, and stir in the brown sugar and black pepper. Let it simmer for 5-6 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Step 5

Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle chopped scallions on top. Garnish with sesame seeds if desired.

Step 6

Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal. Enjoy!
