  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 0.5 cup Kahlua liqueur
  • 0.5 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 3 cloves garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Step 2

Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat until the butter melts and starts to bubble.

Step 3

Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and sear on each side for 3-4 minutes, until golden brown. Remove the chicken breasts from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, stirring frequently to avoid burning.

Pour in the Kahlua liqueur, scraping the bottom of the skillet to release any browned bits. Simmer for 2 minutes to let the alcohol cook off.
