Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground beef or lamb (or a mix of both)
  • 1 medium, finely grated onion
  • 2 cloves, minced garlic
  • 30 grams, finely chopped parsley
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 pieces wooden or metal skewers

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef or lamb, finely grated onion, minced garlic, and parsley.

Step 2

Add the ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, ground cinnamon, salt, and black pepper to the meat mixture.

Step 3

Drizzle the olive oil into the mixture, then use your hands to combine everything thoroughly. Mix until the spices and herbs are evenly distributed, and the meat is slightly sticky in texture.

Step 4

Pre-soak wooden skewers in water for at least 20 minutes if using wooden ones (skip this step if using metal skewers).

Step 5

Divide the meat mixture into 8 equal portions. With wet hands, mold each portion around a skewer, forming an oblong, sausage-like shape along the skewer. Press firmly to ensure the meat adheres to the skewer.

Step 6

Place the kebabs on a tray or plate, cover them with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the kebabs to firm up.

Step 7

Preheat an outdoor grill, stovetop grill pan, or broiler to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates or pan to prevent sticking.

Step 8

Grill the kebabs for approximately 8-10 minutes, turning frequently to ensure even cooking. The kebabs should be browned and cooked through, but still juicy inside.

Step 9

Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.

Step 10

Serve the Kabab Kebabs with flatbread, a side of rice, or a fresh salad. Garnish with additional parsley if desired.
