Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Flank steak
  • 0.5 cups Soy sauce
  • 0.25 cups Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Balsamic vinegar
  • 4 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Cracked black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh rosemary, chopped

Directions

Step 1

In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, cracked black pepper, and fresh rosemary until well combined.

Step 2

Place the flank steak in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it is fully coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish with plastic wrap.

Step 3

Refrigerate the steak for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to infuse. Turn the steak occasionally to ensure even marination.

Step 4

Preheat your grill to high heat or set your oven broiler to high heat.

Step 5

Remove the steak from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Discard the remaining marinade to prevent contamination.

Step 6

If grilling, place the steak on the hot grill. Cook for 5–6 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 130–135°F for medium rare. If broiling, place the steak on a broiler pan and cook for the same time range, turning once halfway through.

Step 7

Remove the steak from the grill or broiler and loosely cover it with aluminum foil. Let the steak rest for 10 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

Step 8

Slice the steak thinly against the grain for maximum tenderness and serve immediately with your favorite sides.
