Directions

Step 1

Take a full garlic bulb and separate the individual cloves. There is no need to trim or peel them at this stage.

Step 2

Place the cloves in a metal or silicone mixing bowl.

Step 3

Invert another mixing bowl of the same size or slightly larger over the first bowl to create a sealed dome.

Step 4

Firmly hold the two bowls together and shake them vigorously for about 15-20 seconds. Use your arm strength to ensure the cloves are jostled around inside.

Step 5

Stop and check the cloves. The shaking should have loosened or completely removed the skins. If necessary, repeat the process for another 10-15 seconds.

Step 6

Once the skins are loosened, separate the peeled cloves from the excess skin. Discard the skins.

Step 7

Your garlic cloves are now peeled and ready to use in your cooking!
