Ingredients

  • 6 pieces large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 0.25 teaspoons salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Place the eggs in a single layer in a medium saucepan. Cover with cold water, ensuring the water level is at least 1 inch above the eggs.

Step 2

Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, cover the saucepan, remove it from the heat, and let the eggs sit for 10 minutes.

Step 3

Carefully drain the hot water and transfer the eggs to an ice bath (a bowl of ice water). Let the eggs cool for at least 5 minutes.

Step 4

Gently tap each egg on a hard surface to crack the shell, then peel off the shells under running water if needed. Pat the eggs dry with a paper towel.

Step 5

Slice each egg in half lengthwise and scoop out the yolks into a medium mixing bowl. Place the empty egg whites on a serving platter, cut-side up.

Step 6

Mash the yolks with a fork until fine and crumbly. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Step 7

Taste the mixture and adjust seasoning if necessary. Use a spoon or a piping bag to evenly distribute the yolk mixture into the hollowed-out egg whites.

Step 8

Sprinkle the tops of the deviled eggs with paprika and garnish with chopped fresh chives, if desired.

Step 9

Refrigerate the deviled eggs for at least 15 minutes before serving, allowing flavors to meld. Serve cold and enjoy!
