Ingredients

  • 12 pieces Jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails left on)
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 0.25 cup Onion, finely chopped
  • 0.75 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 4 pieces Lemon wedges (for serving)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Butterfly each jumbo shrimp by carefully slicing down the back with a sharp knife. Be careful not to cut all the way through. Gently spread open to create a pocket for the stuffing and set aside.

Step 3

In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and chopped onion, sautéing until softened and fragrant, about 3 minutes.

Step 4

Stir in the panko breadcrumbs and cook for another 2 minutes, allowing the breadcrumbs to toast lightly.

Step 5

Remove the skillet from heat and mix in parsley, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, black pepper, and grated Parmesan cheese. Combine thoroughly to form the stuffing mixture.

Step 6

Spoon a heaping tablespoon of the stuffing into the pocket of each butterflied shrimp, pressing gently to secure.

Step 7

Arrange the stuffed shrimp in a single layer on a greased baking sheet or baking dish, stuffing side up.

Step 8

Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and combine with olive oil. Brush this mixture generously over the shrimp to promote browning during baking.

Step 9

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the shrimp are opaque and the stuffing is golden brown.

Step 10

Remove the shrimp from the oven and let cool for a minute before serving.

Step 11

Serve immediately with lemon wedges for garnish.
