Ingredients

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 3 cups crunchy chow mein noodles
  • 1 cup mini candy-coated chocolate eggs
  • 0.5 cup shredded coconut (optional)
  • 5 drops green food coloring (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or wax paper and set aside.

Step 2

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and butterscotch chips. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until completely melted and smooth.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, add the crunchy chow mein noodles. Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the noodles and gently stir until all the noodles are evenly coated.

Step 4

Using a spoon, drop clusters of the coated noodles onto the prepared baking sheets, forming small nest shapes by creating an indentation in the center of each cluster with the back of the spoon.

Step 5

If using shredded coconut, place it in a small bowl and add the green food coloring. Use your fingers or a fork to mix the coconut until it’s evenly tinted, mimicking grass.

Step 6

Sprinkle the tinted coconut (if using) inside the nests for a grassy effect.

Step 7

Place 2-3 mini candy-coated chocolate eggs in the center of each cluster.

Step 8

Allow the clusters to set at room temperature for about 30 minutes or place them in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to firm up.

Step 9

Once set, carefully transfer the clusters to a serving plate or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
