Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs Pork loin
  • 8 pieces Wooden skewers
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 1 cup Chicken broth

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and soak the wooden skewers in water for about 10 minutes to prevent them from burning while cooking.

Step 2

Cut the pork loin into 1.5-inch cubes. You should have enough to skewer about 3-4 pieces per stick.

Step 3

Prepare three dredging stations: one bowl with all-purpose flour, one bowl with beaten eggs mixed with milk, and a third bowl with breadcrumbs seasoned with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Step 4

Thread the pork cubes onto the soaked skewers to create a 'drumstick' appearance.

Step 5

Dip each skewer into the flour, ensuring an even coat, then into the egg mixture, and finally roll it in the seasoned breadcrumbs. Press gently to ensure the breadcrumbs adhere well.

Step 6

Heat the vegetable oil in a large oven-safe skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Sear the skewers on all sides until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Step 7

Once all the skewers are seared, pour the chicken broth into the skillet or transfer the skewers to a baking dish and add the broth there. Cover with aluminum foil to retain moisture.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes to crisp up the breadcrumbs.

Step 9

Serve hot with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, gravy, or steamed vegetables. Enjoy!
