Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups Whole wheat flour
  • 0.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cups Rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons Flaxseed meal
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 2.25 teaspoons Active dry yeast
  • 0.75 cups Warm water
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, combine the warm water (approximately 110°F) and honey. Stir until the honey dissolves completely.

Step 2

Sprinkle the active dry yeast over the water-honey mixture and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, rolled oats, flaxseed meal, and salt. Mix well.

Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil into the well.

Mix the ingredients together until it forms a rough dough. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
