Ingredients

  • 3 lbs Country style pork ribs
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1.5 cups BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

Step 2

In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, and brown sugar to create the dry rub.

Step 3

Rinse the country style pork ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.

Step 4

Drizzle olive oil over the ribs and rub it evenly to coat. Then, generously apply the dry rub on all sides of the ribs, making sure they're well seasoned.

Step 5

Place the ribs in a single layer in a roasting pan or a baking dish, and cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil.

Step 6

Bake the ribs in the preheated oven for 2.5 hours to allow them to tenderize.

Step 7

While the ribs are baking, combine the BBQ sauce and apple cider vinegar in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally. Let it simmer for 5 minutes, then set aside.

Step 8

After 2.5 hours, remove the ribs from the oven and carefully drain any excess liquid from the pan.

Step 9

Brush the BBQ sauce mixture generously over the ribs, coating them completely.

Step 10

Increase the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C) and return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, for an additional 20-30 minutes. Baste with more BBQ sauce halfway through cooking.

Step 11

Once the ribs are caramelized and the sauce is sticky, remove them from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Step 12

Serve warm with your favorite sides, such as coleslaw, baked beans, or cornbread.
