  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 cup reserved pasta water

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining, and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Reduce the heat to low and add cream cheese to the skillet. Stir until melted and smooth.
