  • 3 cups yellow onions, thinly sliced

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup farmer’s cheese (or drained ricotta)
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and caramelized. Be patient, as this step builds the dish’s deep flavor. Season with 1/2 tsp of salt and set aside.
