Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 tbsp jerk seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 scallions, finely chopped
  • 0.25 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 0.5 red onion, sliced
  • 0.25 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, jerk seasoning, minced garlic, chopped scallions, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

Step 2

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.

Step 3

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Step 4

While the patties are cooking, prepare the lime mayonnaise by mixing the mayonnaise and lime juice in a small bowl. Set aside.
