Ingredients

  • 6 pieces large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon chives (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Place the eggs in a medium-sized pot and cover them with cold water, ensuring the water is about 1 inch above the eggs.

Step 2

Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, cover the pot, remove it from the heat, and let the eggs sit in the hot water for 10 minutes.

Step 3

After 10 minutes, transfer the eggs to a bowl filled with ice water to cool for at least 5 minutes. This helps make peeling easier.

Step 4

Gently tap each egg on a hard surface and peel off the shell. Rinse the eggs under cold water to remove any shell fragments.

Step 5

Slice each egg in half lengthwise and carefully remove the yolks, placing them into a medium mixing bowl. Arrange the egg whites on a serving platter.

Step 6

Use a fork to mash the yolks until they are crumbly. Add the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, sweet pickle relish, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

Step 7

Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture into the cavities of the egg whites. Use a piping bag or a zip-top bag with a corner snipped off for a more decorative presentation.

Step 8

Sprinkle the tops of the deviled eggs with paprika for a pop of color and flavor. Garnish with chopped chives if desired.

Step 9

Chill the deviled eggs in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to enhance the flavors. Serve cold.
