Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Water
  • 1.5 cups Chopped almonds
  • 2 cups Semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

Step 1

Grease or line a 9x13-inch baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup, and water.

Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar dissolves and the mixture reaches 300°F on a candy thermometer (hard crack stage). Be cautious as the mixture will be very hot.
