Ingredients

  • 1 pound Lump crab meat
  • 8 ounces Cream cheese, softened
  • 0.5 cup Mayonnaise
  • 0.25 cup Sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 0.25 teaspoon Hot sauce (e.g., Tabasco)
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped green onions
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.25 cup Bread crumbs (optional, for topping)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a small baking dish or a pie dish and set aside.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Beat the mixture with a hand mixer or whisk until smooth and creamy.

Step 3

Add the lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, Old Bay seasoning, hot sauce, salt, and black pepper to the cream mixture. Mix well to combine.

Step 4

Gently fold in the lump crab meat, taking care not to break it up too much. Add in 3/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, reserving 1/4 cup for the topping.

Step 5

Spoon the crab mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly. Sprinkle the reserved cheddar cheese and bread crumbs (if using) on top for a golden crust.

Step 6

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and the top is lightly golden.

Step 7

Remove from the oven and allow the dip to cool for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Step 8

Serve warm with crackers, sliced baguette, or fresh vegetables. Enjoy!
