Ingredients

  • 500 ml Black tea
  • 100 ml Dark rum
  • 100 ml Red wine
  • 50 ml Fruit schnapps (optional, such as apricot or plum)

  • 30 ml Lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Granulated sugar
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 4 Cloves
  • 2 Orange slices

Directions

Step 1

Brew 500 ml of strong black tea and set it aside to keep warm.

Step 2

In a medium saucepan, combine the brewed black tea, dark rum, red wine, fruit schnapps (if using), orange juice, and lemon juice.

Step 3

Stir in the granulated sugar until it dissolves completely.

Step 4

Add the cinnamon stick, cloves, and orange slices to the mixture.

Step 5

Place the saucepan over medium heat and warm the Jagertee gently, making sure not to let it boil. This allows the flavors to meld while preserving the alcohol content.
