Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 6 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup Dry white wine
  • 1.5 cups Chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 cup Heavy cream
  • 0.25 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
  • 0.25 cup Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 16 ounces Linguine
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Directions

Step 1

Pound the chicken breasts to an even 1/2-inch thickness. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

Step 2

Dredge the chicken breasts lightly in flour, shaking off the excess.

Step 3

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter. Once the butter has melted and the pan is hot, cook the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken to a plate and tent with foil to keep warm.

Step 4

Lower the heat to medium and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the same skillet. Stir in the minced garlic, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.

Step 5

Pour in the white wine, scraping up the browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Let the wine reduce by half, about 3-4 minutes.

Step 6

Add the chicken broth, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes. Simmer the sauce for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Step 7

Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Simmer gently for an additional 2 minutes. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.

Step 8

Meanwhile, cook the linguine in salted boiling water according to package instructions. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.

Step 9

Toss the cooked linguine in the skillet with the sauce, adding reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.

Step 10

Slice the cooked chicken breasts and serve on top of the pasta. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese.

Step 11

Serve immediately and enjoy!
