Ingredients

  • 400 grams spaghetti
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 250 grams cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 200 grams canned tuna in olive oil, drained
  • 2 tablespoons capers, rinsed
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 0 to taste salt
  • 0 to taste black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta cooking water and drain the pasta.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they begin to soften and release their juices.
