  • 2 links Italian sausage (casings removed)
  • 4 cups Baby spinach
  • 1 cup Ricotta cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 0.25 teaspoons Red pepper flakes
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 6 slices Rustic bread (sourdough or ciabatta)
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh basil (chopped, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the sausage to the skillet, breaking it into small pieces with a spoon, and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the sausage and set aside on a plate.
