  • 300 grams Penne pasta
  • 1 tablespoon Unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves Minced garlic
  • 400 grams Crushed tomatoes (canned)
  • 5 pieces Fresh basil leaves
  • 0.25 cup Heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
  • 2 liters Water

Directions

Step 1

Bring 2 liters of water to a boil in a large pot. Add a pinch of salt and the penne pasta. Cook according to the package instructions (typically 10-12 minutes) until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

While the pasta is cooking, season the chicken breasts with Italian herb seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Rub the seasoning evenly over both sides of the chicken.

Step 3

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat.
