  • 1 can (15 ounces) cannellini beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 cup small pasta (such as ditalini or elbow macaroni)
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon (or to taste) salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon (or to taste) black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
  • 0 to taste grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)

Directions

Step 1

In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Drain any excess fat and set the beef aside.
