Ingredients

  • 8 slices Italian bread (sliced)
  • 8 ounces Fresh mozzarella (sliced)

  • 1 tablespoon Balsamic glaze
  • 4 tablespoons Butter (softened)
  • 0.5 teaspoons Garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoons Salt (optional)
  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper (optional)

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with garlic powder, and, if desired, a pinch of salt and black pepper. Set aside.

Step 2

Place 4 slices of bread on a clean surface and layer each with 2 ounces of mozzarella slices.

Step 3

Top the mozzarella with tomato slices (approximately 2-3 slices per sandwich) and a couple of fresh basil leaves.

Step 4

Drizzle a small amount of balsamic glaze (about 1/4 teaspoon per sandwich) over the basil and tomato layers.

Step 5

Place the remaining slices of bread on top to create sandwiches.

Spread the prepared garlic butter on the outside of each sandwich, covering both the top and bottom slices of bread evenly.
