  • 0.25 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 cup pasta cooking water, reserved

Directions

Step 1

Season both sides of the chicken breasts with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.

Step 2

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, or until the chicken is golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside to rest.

Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta cooking water before draining.
