Ingredients

  • 3 pounds Beef chuck roast
  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 1 packet Dry Italian dressing mix
  • 4 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 medium Onion, sliced
  • 1 jar (16 ounces) Pepperoncini peppers
  • 1 cup Pepperoncini juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 8 slices Provolone cheese slices
  • 8 Hoagie rolls

Directions

Step 1

Trim any excess fat from the beef chuck roast.

Step 2

Place the roast in the bottom of a large crock pot.

Step 3

In a medium bowl, combine beef broth, dry Italian dressing mix, minced garlic, oregano, basil, and ground black pepper. Stir well to combine.

Pour the mixture over the beef roast in the crock pot.
