Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 10.5 ounces cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.5 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat.

Step 3

Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the onion is softened and fragrant.

Step 4

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture, cooked white rice, frozen mixed vegetables, cream of mushroom soup, 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, and milk. Stir well to mix.

Step 5

Season the mixture with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Stir again to ensure the seasonings are evenly distributed.

Step 6

Transfer the mixture into a lightly greased 9x13-inch casserole dish, spreading it out evenly.

Step 7

In a small bowl, mix the bread crumbs and melted butter until the crumbs are evenly coated.

Step 8

Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the casserole, then top with the buttered bread crumbs.

Step 9

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbling and the top is golden brown.

Step 10

Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
