Ingredients

  • 500 grams Raw shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 120 grams Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh ginger (grated)
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 4 pieces Tortillas or flatbreads
  • 1 small Cucumber (thinly sliced)
  • 0.5 medium Red onion (thinly sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons Mint leaves (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine Greek yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, cayenne pepper (if using), and salt. Stir to mix well.

Add the shrimp to the yogurt marinade and toss to coat evenly. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, prepare the yogurt-mint sauce. In a small bowl, mix 60 grams of Greek yogurt, chopped mint leaves, a pinch of salt, and a dash of lemon juice. Set aside.

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Once hot, add the marinated shrimp in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side or until the shrimp turn pink and are fully cooked. Remove from heat and set aside.

Warm the tortillas or flatbreads in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds on each side or until pliable.

To assemble the wraps, spread a tablespoon of the yogurt-mint sauce onto each tortilla. Layer with a few slices of cucumber, red onion, cooked shrimp, and a sprinkle of chopped cilantro.

Roll the tortilla tightly around the filling to form a wrap. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and fillings.

Slice the wraps in half if desired, and serve immediately with extra yogurt-mint sauce on the side.
