Ingredients

  • 3 pieces Eggs
  • 0.5 cup (finely chopped) Onion

  • 2 tablespoons (finely chopped) Fresh cilantro
  • 0.25 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon or to taste Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon (optional) Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Oil or butter
  • 4 pieces Bread slices
  • 2 tablespoons Ketchup or green chutney

Directions

Step 1

Crack the eggs into a mixing bowl and whisk them until well beaten.

Step 2

Add the chopped onion, tomato, green chili, cilantro, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and black pepper (if using) to the whisked eggs. Mix well to combine.

Step 3

Heat 1 tablespoon of oil or butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

Step 4

Pour half of the egg mixture into the skillet and spread it evenly to form an omelet.

Step 5

Cook for 2-3 minutes until the underside is golden brown, then flip and cook the other side for 1-2 minutes. Remove the omelet from the skillet and set aside. Repeat with the remaining egg mixture to make the second omelet.
