Ingredients

  • 3 pieces black tea bags
  • 4 cups water
  • 0.25 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 3 cups ice cubes
  • 1 sprig fresh mint (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan.

Step 2

Remove the boiling water from heat and steep the 3 black tea bags in the hot water for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Remove the tea bags and stir in the granulated sugar until dissolved. Allow the sweetened tea to cool to room temperature.

Once the tea is cooled, pour the sweetened tea into a blender along with 3 cups of ice and 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice.
