Directions

Step 1

Wash the spinach thoroughly and remove any tough stems. Blanch the spinach by boiling it in salted water for 30 seconds, then immediately transfer it to a bowl of ice water. Drain well and squeeze out excess water, then roughly chop the spinach. Set aside.
