Ingredients

  • 200 grams blackberries
  • 200 grams blueberries
  • 200 grams raspberries
  • 2 medium (peeled, cored, and diced) apples
  • 400 grams granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 piece cinnamon stick
  • 100 milliliters water

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries under cold water. Drain well and set aside.

Step 2

Peel, core, and dice the apples into small cubes.

Step 3

In a large, heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine the berries, diced apples, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon stick, and water.

Step 4

Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir gently to dissolve the sugar while the mixture heats up.

Step 5

Once the sugar has dissolved completely, reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

Step 6

Allow the jam to cook for about 30-40 minutes, or until the mixture thickens. To test the consistency, place a small spoonful onto a chilled plate and run your finger through it; if it holds its shape and doesn't run, it's ready.

Step 7

Remove the cinnamon stick from the jam and discard it.

Step 8

Carefully ladle the hot jam into sterilized jars, leaving about 1/4 inch of headspace at the top. Seal tightly with lids.

Step 9

Allow the jars to cool at room temperature, then store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks or process the jars in a water bath canner for long-term storage.
