Ingredients

  • 750 ml Red wine (light-bodied)
  • 2 cups Diet lemon-lime soda
  • 1 cup Orange juice (no sugar added)
  • 1 medium Orange
  • 1 medium Lemon
  • 1 medium Lime
  • 1 medium Apple
  • 1 cup Strawberries
  • 2 cups Ice
  • 1 tablespoon Optional sweetener (like stevia or monk fruit)

Directions

Step 1

Rinse all the fruit thoroughly and pat dry with a clean towel.

Step 2

Slice the orange, lemon, and lime into thin rounds, then cut the rounds into halves for easier mixing.

Step 3

Core the apple and slice it into thin wedges. Leave the skin on for added color.

Step 4

Hull the strawberries and slice them into halves or quarters, depending on their size.

Step 5

In a large pitcher, combine the red wine, diet lemon-lime soda, and orange juice. Stir gently to combine.

Step 6

Add the prepared orange, lemon, lime, apple slices, and strawberries to the pitcher. Stir again to distribute the fruit evenly.

Step 7

Taste the mixture and add the optional sweetener if desired. Stir until the sweetener is fully dissolved.

Step 8

Refrigerate the sangria for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld together.

Step 9

Just before serving, add the ice to the pitcher to chill and slightly dilute the sangria.

Step 10

Pour into glasses, making sure each serving gets some of the fruit, and enjoy!
