To make the crust, combine 250 grams of unsalted butter, 200 grams of all-purpose flour, 50 grams of powdered sugar, and 2 egg yolks in a mixing bowl. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking dish to form the base. Prick the surface with a fork to prevent it from puffing up. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool completely.
For the chocolate cream filling, heat 400 ml of the whole milk in a saucepan over medium heat until it begins to steam, but do not boil.
In a separate bowl, whisk the remaining 100 ml of milk with 40 grams of cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder until smooth.
Add the cocoa mixture to the saucepan with the warm milk. Stir constantly until the mixture thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and immediately stir in 200 grams of dark chocolate, 100 grams of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until the chocolate has melted and the mixture is smooth. Let the filling cool to room temperature.
Pour the chocolate filling over the cooled crust and spread it evenly using a spatula. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set.
Whip 300 ml of whipping cream in a mixing bowl until stiff peaks form. Spread the whipped cream evenly over the chilled chocolate layer.
Garnish the top with grated dark chocolate. Slice the dessert into bars and serve chilled.
