Ingredients

  • 250 grams White chocolate
  • 50 grams Unsalted butter
  • 3 large Egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoons Grand Marnier
  • 300 ml Heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh orange zest
  • 0 for garnish Fresh mint leaves

Directions

Step 1

Finely chop the white chocolate and place it in a heatproof bowl. Add the unsalted butter to the bowl.

Step 2

Set the bowl over a saucepan of simmering water, ensuring the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water. Stir gently until the chocolate and butter are fully melted and smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks together until slightly thickened. Gradually add the Grand Marnier while whisking continuously.

Step 4

Slowly pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg yolk mixture, stirring constantly, until fully combined. Add the orange zest and stir well.

Step 5

In a chilled mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar using a hand mixer or whisk until soft peaks form.

Step 6

Take about one-third of the whipped cream and gently fold it into the white chocolate mixture to lighten it. Then, fold in the remaining whipped cream in two additions, being careful not to deflate the mixture.

Step 7

Spoon the mousse into serving glasses or bowls. Cover them with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or until set.

Step 8

Before serving, garnish each mousse with a sprinkle of additional orange zest and a fresh mint leaf. Enjoy!
