Ingredients

  • 4 pounds Baby back ribs
  • 2 tablespoons Paprika
  • 3 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1.5 tablespoons Garlic powder
  • 1.5 tablespoons Onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoons Cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
  • 1 cup Apple cider vinegar
  • 0.25 cup Honey
  • 1 cup Your favorite BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 roll Aluminum foil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).

Step 2

Remove the membrane from the underside of the baby back ribs by sliding a knife under it and peeling it away. Use a paper towel for a better grip if needed.

Step 3

In a small bowl, mix the paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne (if using).

Step 4

Rub the spice blend all over the ribs, making sure to coat both sides generously.

Step 5

Wrap each rack of ribs tightly in aluminum foil, sealing the edges well to create a packet.

Step 6

Place the foil-wrapped ribs on a baking sheet (meaty side up) and bake in the preheated oven for 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender.

Step 7

While the ribs bake, prepare the glaze by combining apple cider vinegar, honey, and your favorite BBQ sauce in a saucepan. Heat over medium-low and stir until smooth. Set aside.

Step 8

Once the ribs are done baking, carefully remove them from the foil (be cautious of hot steam) and place them on a lined baking sheet or grill-ready tray.

Step 9

Brush the ribs generously with the prepared BBQ glaze on both sides.

Step 10

If finishing in the oven: Preheat the broiler to high. Broil the ribs for 5-7 minutes, or until the glaze has caramelized slightly. If finishing on the grill: Heat the grill to medium-high and cook the ribs for 5-10 minutes, flipping once, until the glaze is sticky and slightly charred.

Step 11

Remove the ribs from the oven or grill, let them rest for 5 minutes, and then slice them between the bones.

Step 12

Serve warm with additional BBQ sauce on the side, if desired. Enjoy!
