Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Chicken wings
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Cornstarch
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 4 cups Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1 cup Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tbsp Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 0.5 tsp Red pepper flakes
  • 2 stalks Green onions (sliced, for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well.

Step 2

Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels, then toss them in the flour mixture until evenly coated. Shake off any excess flour.

Step 3

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a large pot to 375°F (190°C).

Step 4

Fry the chicken wings in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the fryer, for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Remove wings and place on a wire rack or paper towels to drain excess oil.

Step 5

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the Thai sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, lime juice, and red pepper flakes. Stir and cook for 3-4 minutes until the sauce is heated through and slightly thickened.

Step 6

Place the fried wings in a large bowl and pour the Thai chile sauce over them. Toss until the wings are thoroughly coated.

Step 7

Transfer the wings to a serving platter and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Step 8

Serve immediately and enjoy!
