Ingredients

  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1.5 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons water

Directions

Step 1

Peel the carrots and slice them into thin rounds. Cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets. Set aside.

Step 2

Mince the garlic into small pieces.

Step 3

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil.

Step 4

Once the oil is hot, add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Step 5

Add the broccoli florets and carrot slices to the skillet. Stir to coat them in the oil and garlic.

Step 6

Pour 2 tablespoons of water into the skillet and cover with a lid. Steam the vegetables for 4-5 minutes, until they are tender but still crisp.

Step 7

In a small bowl, mix together the honey, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper.

Step 8

Remove the lid from the skillet and pour the honey mixture over the vegetables. Stir well to evenly coat them.

Step 9

Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring often, until the vegetables are caramelized and slightly glazed.

Step 10

Remove from heat, transfer to a serving dish, and enjoy your Honey Sauteed Broccoli and Carrots!
